Ultime Notizie
For a couple of years, tourists from Northern Europe are fascinated by typical Italian food and wine products. Here are the most favourite food shops of tourists in Italy.
When talking about sustainable tourism, we refer to actions tourists do in their travels. Recently, souvenirs - a fundamental part of one's vacation - also seem to pay particular attention to sustainability.
Choosing typical and made on-site food is a sustainable choice that tourists from Northern Europe (Germany, Austria and Switzerland in particular) make more and more often. According to "Cesarine", tourists ask for local products shops, where they can taste food and buy gifts. In local shops, products and raw materials are usually inaccessible in regular stores: for this reason, tourists buy tons of them.
Tourists' favourite local shops in Italy
Shops that let tourists take home a memory of Italian taste are diverse and located in the most beautiful corners of the Peninsula. In Genoa, for example, the ancient Polleria Aresu by Anna and Sergio is the right place to choose selected meats, while La Bottega Dello Stoccafisso exhibits fresh meat slices. In Parma, at Panetteria Rosetta, clients can buy the local "Anolini" pasta. Moreover, Pepèn offers traditional sandwiches with homemade products.
At Cummè, people can find organic wines and artisanal preserves, while L'Arco de Tipici offers local products; these are necessary stops for tourists in Locorotondo. In Palermo, La Bottega Alimentare del Cassaro is a true temple of Sicilian taste, where clients can find local products such as pasta, oil, wine, jams, sauces and preserves (impossible to find elsewhere).
Le Cesarine
Le Cesarine is a community with over 1500 chefs throughout Italy. The project was born in 2004 under the Ministry of Agriculture's patronage and in partnership with the University of Bologna. The term "Cesarine" indicates the housewives in the Emilia-Romagna dialect. However, in this community, it refers to enthusiasts who want to keep the Italian culinary traditions alive through events and courses in more than 450 Italian cities.
